Our program is open to pregnant and parenting young women up to the age of 21.

Our program focuses on educating these women so that they may gain their independence and successfully care for themselves and their baby.  The women will leave our program with a knowledge base which will help them to make good choices, a support system which assists them in being successful, and a new found sense of self.

Youth are referred to Laura Walker Project through the Family Court System.  Laura Walker Project's admissions staff assesses a youth’s potential for success based on a variety of treatment guidelines. Although severe behaviors may eliminate a youth from being accepted, each case is reviewed on an individual basis. Preclusions to acceptance include a history of severely aggressive behavior, fire setting, violent sex-offenses, severe medical conditions, or IQ’s below 70.
